Family Night - Straight Images
This image is of my Auntie looking through a book of my sisters art work who is sitting next to her and talking her through what she has done. My sister being very artistic loves to draw and paint and has a whole book of her work which she doesn't usually like showing off to people. However in this photo my Auntie is marvelled at what my sister has achieved and is praising her and telling her she should be proud of what she can do.
The photo above is of my Nan, cousin and Granddad who you can see in the background. They are all listening to a story that my Dad is telling from the other side of the room and smiling , looking amused at what he has to say. The main focus of the image is my Nan who has a smile on her face and looks very happy, this is what I wanted to achieve in my images, the happy and positive side of family.
This photo is solely of my Granddad who is smiling and looking at the camera. I really like this image as it is happy and cheerful and the smile on his face you can tell is natural not put on for the sake of the camera. Looking at the photo makes me think of the happiness everyone experiences when we are together as a family.
I really like the composition of this photograph as the positioning of my family is like a semi-circle showing an included conversation with lots of different things going on. In the background you have my Uncle making my sister and cousin laugh whilst they look back at him, this shows the nature of my uncle who is like the family joker and is always the one to embarrass himself. Then in the foreground there is my Auntie and my Cousin talking, this shows how busy and how many things can go on when my family are all together.
Lastly there is this image of my little cousin on her phone. She is the youngest in the family and treated so. Whilst all of the adults are engaging in conversation she is interested in her phone. This could show her age as she cannot connect as well to the conversation so becomes disengaged and plays on her phone. This shows the differences between generations in the family.
